The Boat is a very rare type of pub - one that is run by its owners. This enables us to have a more flexible approach to customers, not be tied to corporate decisions on purchasing and to focus on delivering value for money. Our raw materials are sourced locally and prepared in an open kitchen, allowing customers to check the ingredients with the chefs for allergens or preferences. The menu is presented on a huge chalk board which is changed on a daily basis as our chefs find the best value and quality from our suppliers. Attention to the quality of food has kept us in The Good Pub Guide for the past 6 years and the quality of our beers has kept us in the Good Beer Guide for the past 4 years. The rolling beer festival of 3 ever changing real ales from micro breweries can be seen on the Beers page. There is a Garden Room which can be used for special events seating up to 40 where you can benefit from the Oddfellows Party Table or we can prepare a custom menu to your taste and budget. Serving food Monday to Saturday 12.00-14:15 and 18:00-21:30, Sunday 12:00-20:00. Our annual garden party is on August 30th from 3.00 pm. Pig roast, face painting, demonstrations, competions, stalls, cakes, & more. Please come along in aid of Christian Aid., Entrance is free. Gary is now cooking made to order pizzas on Monday both at lunchtime and in the evening at 7.95 to eat in including a glass of Italian wine, or 6.95 to take away still including the wine to drink while you wait for your pizza to be cooked. |
